How often do we reward ourselves or loved ones with junk food? What message is this really sending? What are some rewards that could be used instead that would still be a “treat?”

Today it's all about asparagus! It is a sign of Spring. This morning I even saw a farm advertising fresh asparagus. Buy it locally if possible. It comes in 3 varieties- green, purple, and white. Remove the tough ends before eating/cooking. You can use them to make stock. It can be eaten raw, grilled, roasted or steamed. Asparagus goes well with chives, fava beans, garlic, leeks, lemon, mushrooms and quinoa.
Try some this week and comment on how you prepared it!
